4th of July Family Day Celebration

Have a blast this 4th of July in Georgia's most patriotic mountain town. Looking for the perfect location to celebrate 4th of July with your family and friends? Pack up your lawn chairs and blankets and head on up to Dahlonega, only an hour’s drive north of Atlanta, for a full day of exciting activities and events that the entire family will enjoy!

This year’s 4th of July Family Celebration will be bigger and better than ever. Arrive early to compete in the Firecracker 5K. The rest of the day will be filled with a Patriotic Ceremony, the Dahlonega Car Club Car Show, and Patriotic Parade. After a full day of fun in the sun, head down to the drill field at the University of North Georgia to watch one of the best fireworks displays in North Georgia.

Start your holiday bright and early at the annual Patriotic Ceremony, followed by the city's 4th of July Family Day Parade, and finally, the Dahlonega Car Club's 4th of July Car Show, featuring classic rides from 10am-4pm. After a day of fun, head to the University of North Georgia's Drill Field for pre-fireworks eats at the Aramark Food Tent from 6pm until dusk. Once the sun goes down, sit back and watch as Dahlonega's breathtaking fireworks show lights up the sky.
