Concert: Sinfonietta

On October 16 at 7:30 pm, Sinfonietta will present a program of music for full orchestra in Hoag Auditorium on the Dahlonega campus of UNG. The theme of the concert is Processions, and the selections will include Berlioz's "March to the Scaffold," Rimsky-Korsakov's "Procession of the Nobles," Prokofiev's "Troika," and the finale from Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. The program will also feature the premiere of a new work for string orchestra and piano by Dr. Lee Barrow entitled "Fanfare." This is the only concert of the year for which Sinfonietta will be joined by full wind and percussion sections, so don't miss it! It is sure to be a memorable evening. Admission is free.
