Cyber bullying and sexting are a growing concern among our children. According to TeenSafe close to 34% of students acknowledge that they have experienced cyber bullying. Cyber bullying Research Center reports 12% of students surveyed said they had sent and explicit image of themselves to another person at some point in their lifetime. Would your child know what to do if they received an explicit image of someone on their phone? What if they were asked to send an explicit image? The Lumpkin County Sheriff’s office will provide an overview of cyber bullying & sexting, provide direction in what to do if you receive explicit images, and the legal consequences of cyber bullying and sexting.
