Lumpkin Library Centennial Storybook Parade

Lumpkin Library Centennial Storybook Parade

A Storybook Parade through Downtown Dahlonega Square marks the 100th anniversary of Lumpkin County Library. Children, parents and friends of the Library are asked to dress as their favorite storybook characters and march in a walking parade from Enota Street to the Square, around the Square and back.

Storybook heroes such as Clifford the Red Dog, Batman, Wonder Woman, a Star Wars Storm Trooper, Darren the DARE Dog, and many others will be part of the parade. Also marching will be the Lumpkin County High School Band of Gold and school cheerleaders.

The parade is open to the public and free to participate. Meet at Enota Street in Downtown Dahlonega at 9:45 if you want to participate. The parade kicks off a day of Library Centennial events running from 11 to 2 p.m. at the Lumpkin County Library.
